וַיַּעַמְדוּ הַמַּיִם הַיֹּרְדִים מִלְמַעְלָה קָמוּ נֵד ־ אֶחָד הַרְחֵק מְאֹד באדם הָעִיר אֲשֶׁר מִצַּד צָֽרְתָן וְהַיֹּרְדִים עַל יָם הָעֲרָבָה יָם ־ הַמֶּלַח תַּמּוּ נִכְרָתוּ וְהָעָם עָבְרוּ נֶגֶד יְרִיחֽוֹ ׃
