וַיִּפְנוּ לִפְנֵי אִישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל ־ דֶּרֶךְ הַמִּדְבָּר וְהַמִּלְחָמָה הִדְבִּיקָתְהוּ וַאֲשֶׁר מֵהֶעָרִים מַשְׁחִיתִים אוֹתוֹ בְּתוֹכֽוֹ ׃
