וַיַּעַל אֲבִימֶלֶךְ הַר ־ צַלְמוֹן הוּא וְכָל ־ הָעָם אֲשֶׁר ־ אִתּוֹ וַיִּקַּח אֲבִימֶלֶךְ אֶת ־ הַקַּרְדֻּמּוֹת בְּיָדוֹ וַיִּכְרֹת שׂוֹכַת עֵצִים וַיִּשָּׂאֶהָ וַיָּשֶׂם עַל ־ שִׁכְמוֹ וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל ־ הָעָם אֲשֶׁר ־ עִמּוֹ מָה רְאִיתֶם עָשִׂיתִי מַהֲרוּ עֲשׂוּ כָמֽוֹנִי ׃
