וַיַּרְא בִּלְעָם כִּי טוֹב בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה לְבָרֵךְ אֶת ־ יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא ־ הָלַךְ כְּפַֽעַם ־ בְּפַעַם לִקְרַאת נְחָשִׁים וַיָּשֶׁת אֶל ־ הַמִּדְבָּר פָּנָֽיו ׃
