נָחַלְתִּי עֵדְוֺתֶיךָ לְעוֹלָם כִּֽי ־ שְׂשׂוֹן לִבִּי הֵֽמָּה ׃

109 My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law. 110 The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts. Here is, 1. David in danger of losing his life. There is but a step between him and death, for the wicked have laid a snare for him; Saul did so many a time, because he hated him for his piety.
