וַֽיַּעֲנוּ אֶת ־ מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה הָֽעֹמֵד בֵּין הַהֲדַסִּים וַיֹּאמְרוּ הִתְהַלַּכְנוּ בָאָרֶץ וְהִנֵּה כָל ־ הָאָרֶץ יֹשֶׁבֶת וְשֹׁקָֽטֶת ׃
