ダニエル書 11:25

彼は力と勇気を奮い起こし、大軍を率いて南の王に立ち向かう。南の王も非常に大きく強い軍勢を率いて戦うが、持ちこたえることができない。人々が彼に対して策略を巡らすからである。

And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.

24人々が安心している時、彼は州の最も豊かな所にまで入り込む。彼は父祖たちも、そのまた父祖たちも行わなかったことを行う。獲物、略奪品、財宝を人々に分け与える。また要塞に対して策略を巡らすが、それは定められた時までである。
