ശമൂവേൽ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെ അവൻ ഏഴു ദിവസം കാത്തിരുന്നു. എങ്കിലും ശമൂവേൽ ഗില്ഗാലിൽ എത്തിയില്ല; ജനവും അവനെ വിട്ട് ചിതറിപ്പോയി.
