അങ്ങനെ ലേവ്യകുടുംബത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ച മെരാരി കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്ക് നറുക്കനുസരിച്ച് കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയത് പന്ത്രണ്ട് പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
