Romans 14:21

It is good to not eat meat, drink wine, nor do anything by which your brother stumbles.

New Heart English Bible

In The King James Version

It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

In Context

20Do not overthrow God's work for food's sake. All things indeed are clean, however it is evil for that man who creates a stumbling block by eating.

22Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not judge himself in that which he approves.

Exhortations to Candour; The Dominion of Christ. ( a. d. 58.) 1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. 2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. 3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. 4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. 5… Read the whole commentary →
