[ edit] Forſoþe to þe ſonis of Aaron þes porciouns ſchul ben; þe ſonis of Aaron, Nadab, and Abiud, Eleaſar, and Yþamar; forſoþe Nadab and Abiud ben deed before þeir fadir, wiþ oute free chyldre, and Eleaſar vſede preſþode, and Yþamar. And Dauid deuydide hem, þat is, Sadoch, fro þe ſonys of Eleaſar, and Achymalech, fro þe ſonis of Yþamar, aftir þeir whilis and ſeruyſe; and þere ben founden manye mo ſonys of Eleaſar in þe men princis, þanne þe ſonys of Yþamar. He deuydide forſoþe to hem, þat is, to þe ſonys of Eleaſar, princes by meynes ſextene; and to þe ſonys of Yþamar by meynes and þeir houſes eyȝt.

Bot he deuydide eiþer meynes between hem ſelue by lottis; forſoþe þere weren princis of þe ſeyntuarye, and princis of þe hous of God, as wele of þe ſonys of Eleaſar as of þe ſonys of Yþamar. And Semeyas, þe ſone of Naþanael, Leuyte ſcribe, diſcryuede hem beforn þe kyng and þe princes, and before Sadoch, þe preſt, and Achymalech, þe ſone of Abiaþer, alſo before þe princis of þe preſtis meynes and of Leuytis; oon hous, þe whiche beforn was to þe toþer, of Eleaſar, and anoþer hous, þe whiche vndir hym ſilf hadde þe toþer, of Yþamar.

And þe firſt lott wente out of Joiarib, þe ſecound of Jedeie, þe þrid of Harym, þe ferþ of Seoſym, þe fyfþe of Melchia, þe ſixt of Mayman, þe ſeuenþ of Acchos, þe eiȝþe of Abia, þe nynþe of Jeſu, þe tenþe of Seþema, þe elleuenþ of Eliazub, þe twelþe of Jacym, þe þrittenþe of Oofa, þe fouretenþe of Iſbaal, þe fyftenþe of Abelgaa, þe ſixtenþe of Emmer, þe ſeuentenþe of Ezir, þe eiȝtenþe of Ahapſes, þe nyntenþe of Pheceia, þe twenteþe of Zechel, þe oon and twentiþe of Joachym, þe two and twenteþe of Gamul, þe þre and twenteþe of Dalayan, þe foure and twentiþe of Mazian.

Þes þe whiles of hem aftir þeir ſeruyſe, þat þei gon in þe hous of þe Lord, and aftir þer rijt vndir þe hond of Aaron, þeir fader, as þe Lord God of Yrael comaundide. Forſoþe of þe ſonys of Leuy þat weren laft, of þe ſonys of Amram, Sebahel was prynce; and of þe ſonys of Sebahel, Jedeia; of þe ſonys of Robie, prince Jeſias. Of Iſaaris forſoþe Salemoþ; alſo þe ſone of Salemoþ, Jonadiaþ; and þe ſone of hym, Gerueanus þe firſt, Aman þe ſecound, Azihel þe þrid, Jeþmoam þe ferþe. Þe ſone of Ozihel, Mycha; þe ſone of Mycha, Samur; þe broþer of Mycha, Jezia; and þe ſone of Jezie, Zacharie.

Þe ſonis of Mereri; Mooli and Muſi; þe ſone of Jozan, Bennon; þe ſone alſo of Muſi; Orian, and Soem, and Saccur, and Ebri. Bot þe ſone of Mooli, Eliazar, þat hadde no free childre; þe ſone forſoþe of Ciz, Jeremyel; þe ſonis of Muſi; Mooli, Jeremuþ. Þes þe ſonys of Leuy, aftir þe houſes of þeir meyneſe. Leyden alſo and þei lottis aȝeyn þeir breþeren, ſonys of Aaron, before Dauid þe kyng, and Sadoch, and Achymalech, and þe princis of þe preſtis meyneſe, and Leuytis; as wele þe more as þe laſſe, alle þe lott euenlyche deuydide.
