2 Samuel 5:20

David fue a Baal-perazim y allí los derrotó. Entonces exclamó: “El Señor ha abierto una brecha entre mis enemigos, como cuando se rompe una represa”. Por eso llamó a ese lugar Baal-perazim.

And David came to Baal-perazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baal-perazim.

19Entonces David consultó al Señor: “¿Debo atacar a los filisteos? ¿Me darás la victoria sobre ellos?”. El Señor le respondió: “Atácalos, porque yo te daré la victoria sobre los filisteos”.

21Los filisteos abandonaron allí sus ídolos, y David y sus hombres se los llevaron.
