బేత్షెమెషు ప్రజలు పొలంలో తమ గోదుమ పంట కోస్తున్నారు. వారు కన్నులెత్తి చూసినప్పుడు మందసం కనబడింది. దాన్ని చూసి వారు సంతోషించారు.

12ఆ ఆవులు రహదారి వెంబడి సాఫీగా వెళ్తూ, రంకెలు వేస్తూ, బేత్షెమెషుకు వెళ్లే దారిలో నడిచాయి. ఫిలిష్తీయుల పెద్దలు వాటిని వెంబడిస్తూ బేత్షెమెషు సరిహద్దు వరకూ వెళ్లారు.

14ఆ బండి బేత్షెమెషుకు చెందిన యెహోషువ అనే వాడి పొలంలోకి వచ్చి అక్కడ ఉన్న ఒక పెద్ద రాయి దగ్గర నిలిచింది. వారు బండికి ఉన్న కర్రలను నరికి ఆవులను యెహోవాకు దహనబలిగా అర్పించారు.
