యెహోరాము తన అధికారులను వెంటబెట్టుకుని, తన రథాలన్నిటితో బయలుదేరి రాత్రివేళ లేచి తనను చుట్టుముట్టిన ఎదోమీయులనూ రథాధిపతులను చంపేసాడు.

8యెహోరాము రోజుల్లో యూదా రాజుల అధికారానికి వ్యతిరేకంగా ఎదోమీయులు తిరుగుబాటు చేసి తమకు ఒక రాజును ఉంచుకున్నారు.

10కాబట్టి ఇప్పటి వరకూ ఎదోమీయులు యూదావారి అధికారం కింద ఉండక తిరుగుబాటు చేస్తూనే ఉన్నారు. యెహోరాము తన పూర్వీకుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాను విస్మరించినందుకు అదే సమయంలో లిబ్నా పట్టణం కూడా అతని అధికారం కింద ఉండకుండాా తిరుగుబాటు చేసింది.
