మందలు నీళ్ళు తాగడానికి వచ్చినప్పుడు అవి చూలు కట్టడం కోసం అతడు తాను ఒలిచిన చువ్వలను మందలు తాగడానికి వచ్చే కాలవల్లో, నీటి గాళ్ళలో, వాటి ముందు పెట్టాడు.
