Judges 20:39

ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు మొదట యుద్ధం నుండి పారిపోతున్నట్టుగా కనిపించినప్పుడు బెన్యామీనీయులు “వీళ్ళు మొదటి యుద్ధంలో ఓడిపోయినట్టు ఇప్పుడు కూడా మన చేతిలో ఓడిపోతున్నారు” అనుకుని, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల్లో దాదాపు ముప్ఫైమందిని చంపారు.

40కాని వెనుక ఉన్న పట్టణంలో నుండి ఆకాశంలోకి పెద్ద స్తంభంలాగా పొగ పైకి లేవడం ఆరంభించింది. అప్పుడు బెన్యామీనీ యులు వెనక్కి తిరిగి చూశారు. అప్పుడు ఆ పట్టణమంతా పొగ నిండిపోయి కనిపించింది.
