అది అబీమెలెకుకు తెలిసినప్పుడు అతడు తన మనుషులను మూడు గుంపులుగా చేసి వాళ్ళను ఆ పొలంలో మాటుగా ఉంచాడు. అతడు చూస్తుండగా ప్రజలు పట్టణం నుంచి బయలుదేరి వస్తున్నారు గనుక అతడు వాళ్ళ మీద పడి వాళ్ళని చంపేశాడు.
