1 Corinthians 5:1

There goeth a commen sayinge that ther is fornicacion amonge you and soche fornicacion as is not once named amonge the gentyls: that one shuld have his fathers wyfe.

In this chapter the apostle, I. Blames them for their indulgence in the case of the incestuous person, and orders him to be excommunicated, and delivered to Satan, ver. 1-6 . II. He exhorts them to Christian purity, by purging out the old leaven, ver. 7, 8 . And, III.
