百姓見摩西遲延不下山、就大家聚集到亞倫那裏、對他說、起來、爲我們作神 像 、可以在我們前面引路、因爲領我們出埃及地的那個摩西、我們不知道他遭了甚麼事。

And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
