Just as it is written: 1 “ Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, 1 and everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame.”

As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

32Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but rather by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stone of stumbling.
