Why, when I came, was there no ish (man [at all] to respond)? 1 When I called, was there none to answer? 1 Is My Yad too short, that it cannot redeem? 1 Or have I no ko'ach (power) to save? 1 Behold, at My rebuke I dry up the yam (sea), 1 I make the neharot (rivers) a midbar (desert); 1 their dag (fish) stink, because there is no mayim, 1 and die of tzama (thirst). 1
