We can be sure that we are joined up with God, and he is joined up with us, because God put his spirit in us.

Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

12You know, nobody ever saw God. But if we love each other, that shows that God is joined up with us, and his love is truly in us.

14And we know that God sent his son to save us people here on earth. Yes, we saw Jesus, we saw him with our own eyes, and now we are telling everybody the true story about him.

Ephesians 2:20I will use a house as a picture story. It is like God used Jesus and all his people to build a special house for himself. He used Jesus Christ to start building that house. He is the most important one. Then God used Jesus’s special workers, and the other people that told God’s messages. They are like the cement slab that the house sits on. Now God is using you mob, with us Jewish mob, to make the rest of the house. It is like God’s people are the bricks and the wood. You mob are not Jews, but you are still part of that house. God’s spirit carefully joins us together, to make that house bigger all the time, and God lives in his special house. That picture of a house shows us that God is living in us all the time.

1 John 4:15If anybody believes that Jesus is God’s son, and if they tell people that true story, then God is joined up with that person, and they are joined up with God.
