Simon did that magic for a long time, and the people there were always surprised by the things he did, so they listened to him.

And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.

10All the people talked about him and said, “This man is really great. He has God’s power.” Important people said that, as well as other people.

12But then Philip went to that town and told the people the good news about Jesus, and about God’s family, and he told them that God sent Jesus Christ to save people. A lot of men and women listened to Philip and believed in Jesus, and then Philip baptised them.
