To Adam he said, 1 “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, 1 and have eaten from the tree, concerning which I commanded you, 1 saying, 'You may not eat from it,' 1 cursed is the ground because of you; 1 through painful work you will eat from it all the days of your life. 1
