וַיַּעֲמֵד כְּמִשְׁפַּט דָּֽוִיד ־ אָבִיו אֶת ־ מַחְלְקוֹת הַכֹּהֲנִים עַל ־ עֲבֹדָתָם וְהַלְוִיִּם עַל ־ מִשְׁמְרוֹתָם לְהַלֵּל וּלְשָׁרֵת נֶגֶד הַכֹּֽהֲנִים לִדְבַר ־ יוֹם בְּיוֹמוֹ וְהַשּׁוֹעֲרִים בְּמַחְלְקוֹתָם לְשַׁעַר וָשָׁעַר כִּי כֵן מִצְוַת דָּוִיד אִישׁ ־ הָאֱלֹהִֽים ׃
