וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֶל ־ פַּרְעֹה לָגוּר בָּאָרֶץ בָּאנוּ כִּי ־ אֵין מִרְעֶה לַצֹּאן אֲשֶׁר לַעֲבָדֶיךָ כִּֽי ־ כָבֵד הָרָעָב בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן וְעַתָּה יֵֽשְׁבוּ ־ נָא עֲבָדֶיךָ בְּאֶרֶץ גֹּֽשֶׁן ׃
