Þe ſones of Juda; Her, Onam, Sela; þes þre ben born to hym of Sue, þe douȝtir of Chananytidis. Forſoþe Her was þe firſt goten of Juda, euyl before þe Lord, and he ſlewȝ hym. Thamar forſoþe his douȝtir in lawe bare to hym Phares and Saram; alle þann þe ſonys of Juda, fyue. Þe ſonys forſoþe of Phares; Eſrom and Thamul. Þe ſonys forſoþe of Zare; Zamry, and Eþan, and Eman, and Calchol, and Dardam; togydre fyue. Þe ſones of Zamri; Achar, þat diſtourblide Yrael, and ſynnede in þe þeft of curſedhode. Þe ſones of Eþan; Azarias.

Þe ſonys forſoþe of Eſrom, þat ben born to hym; Jeramahel, and Aram, and Chaluby. Forſoþe Aram gat Amynadab. Amynadab forſoþe gat Naaſon, prince of þe ſones of Juda. Naaſon forſoþe gat Salmon; of whom is born Booz. Booz forſoþe gat Obeþ; þe whiche and he gat Yſay. Yſay forſoþe gat þe firſt goten, Heliab; þe ſecound, Amynadab; þe þrid, Samaa; þe ferþe, Naþaneel; þe fyft, Saday; þe ſixt, Aſom; þe ſeuenþ, Dauid; whos ſyſters weren Saruya and Abigail. Þe ſones of Saruye; Abiſay, Joab, and Aſael; þre. Abigail forſoþe gat Amaſa, whos fadir was Jeþer Yſmaelyte.

Caleph forſoþe, þe ſone of Eſrom, toke a wijf, Azuba by name, of whom he gat Jereoþ; þere weren forſoþe ſonys of hym, Jeſar, and Sobab, and Ardon. And whanne Azuba was deed, he toke a wijf of Caleph, Effrata, þe whiche bare to hym Hur. Forſoþe Hur gat Hury; Hury gat Beſelael. Aftir þes þingis Eſrom wente in to þe douȝtir of Machir, þe fadir of Galaad, and he toke hire, whann ſche was of ſexty ȝeer; þe whiche bare to hym Segub. Bot and Segub gat Jair, and weeldide foure and twenty cytees in þe lond of Galaad; and he toke Jeſſur, and Arym, þe bourȝ tounnes of Jair, and Canaþ, and þe lytyl townes of it, of ſeuenty cytees. Alle þes þe ſonys of Machir, fadir of Galaad.

Whann forſoþe Eſrom was deed, Caleph wente in to Effrata. Eſrom forſoþe hade a wijf Abia, þe whiche bare to hym Aſſur, fadir of Thecue. Þer ben born forſoþe ſonys of Jezrameel, þe firſt goten of Eſrom; Ram his firſt goten, and Hyma, and Aran, and Aſon, and Achia. Forſoþe Jezramel weddide anoþer wijf, Aþara by name, þe whiche was þe modir of Onam. Bot and of Onam, þe ſone of Ram, þe firſt goten of Jezramael, weren Mohos, and Lamyn, and Achas. Onam forſoþe gat ſones, Semei, and Juda. Þe ſones forſoþe of Semei; Nadal, and Abiſer; name forſoþe of þe wijf of Abiſer, Abigail, þat bare to hym Haaobban, and Molid. Þe ſonys forſoþe of Nadab weren Saled, and Apfaym.

Forſoþe Saled dyȝed wiþ oute fre childre. Þe ſone forſoþe of Apphaym, Jeſi; þe whiche Jeſi gat Seſan. bot Seſan gat Oholi. Þe ſones forſoþe of Jada, broþer of Semei; Jeþer and Jonaþan; bot Jeþer died wiþout fre childre; bot Jonaþa gat Phales, and Cya. Þes ben þe ſones of Jezramael. Ceſan forſoþe hadde no ſones, bot douȝters, and Egipcian ſeruaunt, Gera by name; and he ȝaue to hym his douȝter wijf, þe whiche bare to hym Eþei. Eþei forſoþe gat Naþan, and Naþan gat Zadab. Zadab forſoþe gat Ophial, and Ophial gat Obed. Obed gat Hieu, Hieu gat Azariam, Azarias gat Helles, Helles gat Elaſa, Elaſa gat Seſamoi, Seſamoi gat Sellum, Sellum gat Jechomya, Jechomya gat Eliſama.

Þe ſones forſoþe of Caleph, broþer of Jeramael; Moſa his firſt goten; he is þe fadir of Ȝiph; and þe ſonys of Mereſa, fadir of Ebron. Forſoþe þe ſonys of Ebron; Chore, and Raphu, Recem, and Samma. Samma forſoþe gat Raam, fadir of Jerehaham; and Recem gat Semei. Þe ſone of Semei, Maon; and Maon, þe fadir of Beþſur. Epha forſoþe, þe ſecoundarie wijf of Caleb, bare Arram, and Muſa, and Theſer; bot Arram gat Jezen. Þe ſonis of Jadai; Regon, and Jeþan, and Zeſun, and Phales, and Epha, and Saaph. Þe ſecoundarie wijf of Caleb, Maacha, bare Zaber, and Therana. Forſoþe Saaph, þe fadir of Madmenas, gat Sue, þe fadir of Magbena, and þe fadir of Gabaa; þe douȝter forſoþe of Caleph was Axa.

Þes weren þe ſones of Caleb. Þe ſones of Hur, firſt goten of Effrata; Sobal, þe fadir of Cariaþiarym; Salma, þe fadir of Beþleem; Ariph, þe fadir of Beþgader. Forſoþe þer weren ſonys of Sobal, fadir of Cariaþiarym, þe whiche deuydiden þe half of þe reſtyngis; and of þe kynrede of Cariaþiarym, Jeþrei, and Afutei, and Samaþei, and Maceraþei. Of þes wenten out Saraitis and Eſchaolitis. Þe ſones of Salma, fadir of Beþlem, and Neþophatite, crownys of þe hous of Joab, and half of þe reſtyng of Saray. Þe kynredis forſoþe of ſcribis, dwellynge in Jabes, ſyngynge, and aȝein ſounnynge, and in tabernaclis dwellynge togider. Þes ben Cynei, þe whiche camen of þe feruour of þe hous of þe fadir of Rechab.
