Proverbs 16:6

By covenant faithfulness and trustworthiness iniquity is atoned for 1 and by the fear of Yahweh people turn away from evil. 1

5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord : though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. Note, 1. The pride of sinners sets God against them.
