Song of Solomon 4

Oh, you are beautiful, my love; you are beautiful. 1 Your eyes are doves behind your veil. 1 Your hair is like a flock of goats 1 going down from Mount Gilead. 1

Your teeth are like a flock of newly shorn ewes, 1 coming up from the washing place. 1 Each one has a twin, 1 and none among them is bereaved. 1

Your lips are like a thread of scarlet; 1 your mouth is lovely. 1 Your cheeks are like pomegranate halves 1 behind your veil. 1

Your neck is like the tower of David built in rows of stone, 1 with a thousand shields hanging on it, 1 all the shields of soldiers. 1

Your two breasts are like two fawns, 1 twins of a gazelle, 1 grazing among the lilies. 1

Until the dawn arrives and the shadows flee away, 1 I will go to the mountain of myrrh 1 and to the hill of frankincense. 1

You are beautiful in every way, my love 1 and there is no blemish in you. 1

Come with me from Lebanon, my bride. 1 Come with me from Lebanon; 1 come from the top of Amana, 1 from the top of Senir and Hermon, 1 from lions' dens, 1 from mountain dens of leopards. 1

You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; 1 you have stolen my heart, 1 with just one look at me, 1 with just one jewel of your necklace. 1

How beautiful is your love, my sister, my bride! 1 How much better is your love than wine, 1 and the fragrance of your perfume than any spice. 1

Your lips, my bride, drip honey; 1 honey and milk are under your tongue; 1 the fragrance of your garments is like the fragrance of Lebanon. 1

My sister, my bride is a garden locked up, 1 a garden locked up, a spring that is sealed. 1

Your branches are a grove of pomegranate trees with choice fruits, 1 and of henna and nard plants, 1

Nard and saffron, 1 calamus and cinnamon with all kinds of spices, 1 myrrh and aloes with all the finest spices. 1

You are a garden spring, 1 a well of fresh water, 1 streams flowing down from Lebanon. The woman speaking to the man 1

Awake, north wind; come, south wind; 1 blow on my garden so that its spices may give off their fragrance. 1 May my beloved come into his garden 1 and eat some of its choice fruit.
