Song of Solomon 6
Whither is thy kinsman gone, 1 Thou beautiful among women? 1 Whither has thy kinsman turned aside? 1 Tell us, and we will seek him with thee. 1
My kinsman is gone down to his garden, to the beds of spice, 1 To feed his flock in the gardens, and to gather lilies. 1
I am my kinsman’s, and my kinsman is mine, 1 Who feeds among the lilies. 1
Thou art fair, my companion, as Pleasure, 1 Beautiful as Jerusalem, 1 Terrible as armies set in array. 1
Turn away thine eyes from before me, 1 For they have ravished me: 1 Thy hair is as flocks of goats 1 Which have appeared from Gilead. 1
Thy teeth are as flocks of shorn sheep, 1 That have gone up from the washing, 1 All of them bearing twins, 1 And there is none barren among them: 1 Thy lips are as a thread of scarlet, 1 And thy speech is comely. 1
Thy cheek is like the rind of a pomegranate, 1 Being seen without thy veil. 1
There are sixty queens, and eighty concubines, 1 And maidens without number. 1
My dove, my perfect one is one; 1 She is the only one of her mother; 1 She is the choice of her that bore her. 1 The daughters saw her, and the queens will pronounce her blessed, 1 Yea, and the concubines, and they will praise her. 1
Who is this that looks forth as the morning, 1 Fair as the moon, choice as the sun, 1 Terrible as armies set in array? 1
I went down to the garden of nuts, 1 To look at the fruits of the valley, 1 To see if the vine flowered, 1 If the pomegranates blossomed. 1
There I will give thee my breasts: 1 My soul knew it not: 1 It made me as the chariots of Amminadab.
