Proverbs 12
1He that loves instruction loves sense, 1 But he that hates reproofs is a fool. 1
2He that has found favor with the Lord is made better; 1 But a transgressor shall be passed over in silence. 1
3A man shall not prosper by wickedness; 1 But the roots of the righteous shall not be taken up. 1
4A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband; 1 But as a worm in wood, so a bad woman destroys her husband. 1
5The thoughts of the righteous are true judgments; 1 But ungodly men devise deceits. 1
6The words of ungodly men are crafty; 1 But the mouth of the upright shall deliver them. 1
7When the ungodly is overthrown, he vanishes away; 1 But the houses of the just remain. 1
8The mouth of an understanding man is praised by a man; 1 But he that is dull of heart is had in derision. 1
9Better is a man in dishonor serving himself, 1 Than one honoring himself and wanting bread. 1
10A righteous man has pity for the lives of his cattle; 1 But the bowels of the ungodly are unmerciful. 1
11a He that enjoys himself in banquets of wine, 1 Shall leave dishonor in his own strongholds. 1
12The desires of the ungodly are evil; 1 But the roots of the godly are firmly set. 1
13a He whose looks are gentle shall be pitied, 1 But he that contends in the gates will afflict souls. 1
14The soul of a man shall be filled with good from the fruits of his mouth; 1 And the recompense of his lips shall be given to him. 1
15The ways of fools are right in their own eyes; 1 But a wise man hearkens to counsels. 1
16A fool declares his wrath the same day; 1 But a prudent man hides his own disgrace. 1
17A righteous man declares the open truth; 1 But an unjust witness is deceitful. 1
18Some wound as they speak, like swords; 1 But the tongues of the wise heal. 1
19True lips establish testimony; 1 But a hasty witness has an unjust tongue. 1
20There is deceit in the heart of him that imagines evil; 1 But they that love peace shall rejoice. 1
21No injustice will please a just man; 1 But the ungodly will be filled with mischief. 1
22Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord; 1 But he that deals faithfully is accepted with him. 1
23An understanding man is a throne of wisdom; 1 But the heart of fools shall meet with curses. 1
24The hand of chosen men shall easily obtain rule; 1 But the deceitful shall be for a prey. 1
25A terrible word troubles the heart of a righteous man; 1 But a good message rejoices him. 1
26A just arbitrator shall be his own friend; 1 But mischief shall pursue sinners; 1 And the way of ungodly men shall lead them astray. 1
27A deceitful man shall catch no game; 1 But a blameless man is a precious possession. 1
28In the ways of righteousness is life; 1 But the ways of those that remember injuries lead to death.
