Job 32
1And his three friends also ceased any longer to answer Job: 1 For Job was righteous before them. 1
2Then Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, 1 Of the kindred of Ram, of the country of Uz, was angered: 1 And he was very angry with Job, 1 Because he justified himself before the Lord. 1
3And he was also very angry with his three friends, 1 Because they were not able to return answers to Job, 1 Yet set him down for an ungodly man. 1
4But Elihu had forborne to give an answer to Job, 1 Because they were older than he. 1
5And Elihu saw that there was no answer 1 In the mouth of the three men; 1 And he was angered in his wrath. 1
6And Elihu the Buzite the son of Barachel answered and said, 1 I am younger in age, and ye are elder; 1 Wherefore I kept silence, 1 Fearing to declare to you my own knowledge. 1
7And I said, It is not time that speaks, 1 Though in many years men know wisdom: 1
8But there is a spirit in mortals; 1 And the inspiration of the Almighty is that which teaches. 1
9The long-lived are not wise as such; 1 Neither do the aged know judgment. 1
10Wherefore I said, Hear me, 1 And I will tell you what I know. 1
11Hearken to my words; for I will speak in your hearing, 1 Until ye shall have tried the matter with words: 1
12And I shall understand as far as you; 1 And, behold, there was no one of you 1 That answered Job his words in argument, 1
13Lest ye should say, We have found that we have added wisdom to the Lord. 1
14And ye have commissioned a man to speak such words. 1
15They were afraid, they answered no longer; 1 They gave up their speaking. 1
16I waited (for I had not spoken), 1 Because they stood still, they answered not. 1
17And Elihu continued and said, 1 I will again speak,
18for I am full of words, 1 For the spirit of my belly destroys me. 1
19And my belly is as a skin of sweet wine bound up and ready to burst; 1 Or as a brazier’s laboring bellows. 1
20I will speak, that I may open my lips and relieve myself. 1
21For truly I will not be awed because of man, 1 Nor indeed will I be confounded before a mortal. 1
22For I know not how to respect persons: 1 And if otherwise, even the moths would eat me.
