Job 37
1At this also my heart is troubled, 1 And moved out of its place. 1
2Hear thou a report by the anger of the Lord’s wrath, 1 And a discourse shall come out of his mouth. 1
3His dominion is under the whole heaven, 1 And his light is at the extremities of the earth. 1
4After him shall be a cry with a loud voice; 1 He shall thunder with the voice of his excellency, 1 Yet he shall not cause men to pass away, for one shall hear his voice. 1
5The Mighty One shall thunder wonderfully with his voice: 1 For he has done great things which we knew not; 1
6Commanding the snow, Be thou upon the earth, 1 And the stormy rain, and the storm of the showers of his might. 1
7He seals up the hand of every man, 1 That every man may know his own weakness. 1
8And the wild beasts come in under the covert, 1 And rest in their lair. 1
9Troubles come on out of the secret chambers, 1 And cold from the mountaintops. 1
10And from the breath of the Mighty One he will send frost; 1 And he guides the water in whatever way he pleases. 1
11And if a cloud obscures what is precious to him, 1 His light will disperse the cloud. 1
12And he will carry round the encircling clouds by his governance, to perform their works: 1 Whatsoever he shall command them, 1
13This has been appointed by him on the earth, 1 Whether for correction, or for his land, 1 Or if he shall find him an object for mercy. 1
14Hearken to this, O Job: stand still, 1 And be admonished of the power of the Lord. 1
15We know that God has disposed his works, 1 Having made light out of darkness. 1
16And he knows the divisions of the clouds, 1 And the signal overthrows of the ungodly. 1
17But thy robe is warm, 1 And there is quiet upon the land. 1
18Wilt thou establish with him foundations for the ancient heavens? 1 They are strong as a molten mirror. 1
19Wherefore teach me, what shall we say to him? 1 And let us cease from saying much. 1
20Have I a book or a scribe by me, 1 That I may stand and put man to silence? 1
21But the light is not visible to all: 1 It shines afar off in the heavens, 1 As that which is from him in the clouds. 1
22From the north come the clouds shining like gold: 1 In these great are the glory and honor of the Almighty; 1
23And we do not find another his equal in strength: 1 As for him that judges justly, dost thou not think that he listens? 1
24Wherefore men shall fear him; 1 And the wise also in heart shall fear him.
