Psalms 13
For the end, a Psalm of David. 1 The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. 1 They have corrupted themselves, and become abominable in their devices; 1 There is none that does goodness, there is not even so much as one. 1
The Lord looked down from heaven upon the sons of men, 1 To see if there were any that understood, or sought after God. 1
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become good for nothing, 1 There is none that does good, no not one. 1 Their throat is an open sepulcher; 1 With their tongues they have used deceit; 1 The poison of asps is under their lips: 1 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; 1 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 1 Destruction and misery are in their ways; 1 And the way of peace they have not known: 1 There is no fear of God before their eyes. 1
Will not all the workers of iniquity know, 1 Who eat up my people as they would eat bread? 1 They have not called upon the Lord. 1
There were they alarmed with fear, where there was no fear; 1 For God is in the righteous generation. 1
Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, 1 Because the Lord is his hope. 1
Who will bring the salvation of Israel out of Zion? 1 When the Lord brings back the captivity of his people, 1 Let Jacob exult, and Israel be glad.
