Psalms 1

1Blessed is the man who does not walk in the advice of the wicked, 1 or stand in the pathway with sinners, 1 or sit in the assembly of mockers. 1

2But his delight is in the law of Yahweh, 1 and on his law he meditates day and night. 1

3He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water 1 that produces its fruit in its season, 1 whose leaves do not wither; 1 whatever he does will prosper. 1

4The wicked are not so, 1 but are instead like the chaff that the wind drives away. 1

5So the wicked will not stand in the judgment, 1 nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 1

6For Yahweh approves of the way of the righteous, 1 but the way of the wicked will perish.
