Psalms 60
God, you have cast us off; you have broken through our defenses; 1 you have been angry; restore us again. 1
You have made the land tremble; you have torn it apart; 1 heal its fissures, for it is shaking. 1
You have made your people see difficult things; 1 you have made us drink the wine of staggering. 1
For those who honor you, 1 you have set up a banner 1 to be displayed against those who carry the bow. Selah 1
So that those you love may be rescued, 1 rescue us with your right hand and answer me. 1
God has spoken in his holiness, “I will rejoice; 1 I will divide Shechem and apportion out the Valley of Succoth. 1
Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; 1 Ephraim also is my helmet; 1 Judah is my scepter. 1
Moab is my washbasin; 1 over Edom I will throw my shoe; 1 I will shout in triumph because of Philistia.” 1
Who will bring me into the strong city? 1 Who will lead me to Edom? 1
But you, God, have you not rejected us? 1 You do not go into battle with our army. 1
Give us help against the enemy, 1 for man's help is futile. 1
We will triumph with God's help; 1 he will trample down our enemies.
