Psalms 32
1Blessed is the person whose transgression is forgiven, 1 whose sin is covered. 1
2Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh reckons no guilt 1 and in whose spirit there is no deceit. 1
3When I remained silent, my bones were wasting away 1 while I groaned all day long. 1
4For day and night your hand was heavy upon me. 1 My strength withered as in summer drought. Selah 1
5Then I acknowledged my sin to you, 1 and I no longer hid my iniquity. 1 I said, “I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh,” 1 and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah 1
6Because of this, all who are godly should pray to you at a time of great distress. 1 Then when the surging waters overflow, they will not reach those people. 1
7You are my hiding place; you will guard me from trouble. 1 You will surround me with the songs of victory. Selah 1
8I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go. 1 I will instruct you with my eye upon you. 1
9Do not be like a horse or like a mule, which have no understanding; 1 it is only with bridle and bit to control them 1 that they will go where you want them to. 1
10The wicked have many sorrows, 1 but Yahweh's covenant faithfulness will surround the one who trusts in him. 1
11Be glad in Yahweh, and rejoice, you righteous; 1 shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.
