Psalms 19
The heavens declare the glory of God, 1 and the skies make his handiwork known! 1
Day after day speech pours out; 1 night after night it reveals knowledge. 1
There is no speech or spoken words; 1 their voice is not heard. 1
Yet their words go out over all the earth, 1 and their speech to the end of the world. 1 He has pitched a tent for the sun among them. 1
The sun is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber 1 and like a strong man who rejoices when he runs his race. 1
The sun rises from the one horizon 1 and crosses the sky to the other; 1 nothing escapes its heat. 1
The law of Yahweh is perfect, restoring the soul; 1 the testimony of Yahweh is reliable, making the simple wise. 1
The instructions of Yahweh are right, making the heart glad; 1 the commandment of Yahweh is pure, bringing light to the eyes. 1
The fear of Yahweh is pure, enduring forever; 1 the righteous decrees of Yahweh are true and altogether right! 1
They are of greater value than gold, even more than much fine gold; 1 they are sweeter than honey and the dripping honey from the honeycomb. 1
Yes, by them your servant is warned; 1 in obeying them there is great reward. 1
Who can discern all his own errors? 1 Cleanse me from hidden faults. 1
Keep your servant also from arrogant sins; 1 let them not rule over me. 1 Then I will be perfect, 1 and I will be innocent from many transgressions. 1
May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart 1 be acceptable in your sight, 1 Yahweh, my rock and my redeemer.
