Psalms 14
1A fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” 1 They are corrupt and have done abominable iniquity; 1 there is no one who does good. 1
2Yahweh looks down from heaven on the children of mankind 1 to see if there are any who understand, 1 who seek after him. 1
3They have all turned away. Together they have become corrupt. 1 There is no one who does good, no, not one. 1
4Do they not know anything, those who commit iniquity, 1 those who eat up my people as they eat bread, 1 but who do not call on Yahweh? 1
5They tremble with dread, 1 for God is with the righteous assembly! 1
6You want to humiliate the poor person 1 even though Yahweh is his refuge. 1
7Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come from Zion! 1 When Yahweh brings back his people from the captivity, 1 then Jacob will rejoice and Israel will be glad!
