Psalms 11
I take refuge in Yahweh; 1 how will you say to me, 1 “Flee like a bird to the mountain”? 1
For see! The wicked prepare their bows. 1 They make ready their arrows on the strings 1 to shoot in the darkness at the upright in heart. 1
For if the foundations are ruined, 1 what can the righteous do? 1
Yahweh is in his holy temple; 1 his eyes watch, his eyes examine the children of mankind. 1
Yahweh examines both the righteous and the wicked, 1 but he hates those who love to do violence. 1
He rains burning coals and brimstone upon the wicked; 1 a scorching wind will be their portion from his cup! 1
For Yahweh is righteous, and he loves righteousness; 1 the upright will see his face.
