Psalms 63

God, you are my God! I earnestly search for you, 1 my soul thirsts for you, and my flesh longs for you, 1 in a dry and weary land where there is no water. 1

So I have looked on you in the sanctuary, 1 to see your power and your glory. 1

Because your covenant faithfulness is better than life, 1 my lips will praise you. 1

So I will bless you while I live; 1 I will lift up my hands in your name. 1

It will be as if I ate a meal of marrow and fatness; 1 with joyful lips my mouth will praise you, 1

when I think about you on my bed 1 and meditate on you in the night hours. 1

For you have been my help, 1 and in the shadow of your wings I rejoice. 1

I cling to you; 1 your right hand supports me. 1

But those who seek to destroy my life 1 will go down into the lowest parts of the earth;

they will be given over to those whose hands use the sword, 1 and they will become food for the jackals. 1

But the king will rejoice in God; 1 everyone who swears by him will be proud of him, 1 but the mouth of those who speak lies will be stopped up.
