Psalms 75
We give thanks to you, God; 1 we give thanks, for you reveal your presence; 1 people tell of your wondrous works. 1
At the appointed time I will judge fairly. 1
Though the earth and all the inhabitants shake in fear, 1 I make steady the earth's pillars. Selah 1
I said to the arrogant, “Do not be arrogant,” 1 and to the wicked, “Do not lift up the horn. 1
Do not lift up your horn to the heights; 1 do not speak with an insolent neck.” 1
It is not from the east or from the west, 1 and it is not from the wilderness that lifting up comes. 1
But God is the judge; 1 he brings down and he lifts up. 1
For Yahweh holds in his hand a cup of foaming wine, 1 which is mixed with spices, and pours it out. 1 Surely all the wicked of the earth will drink it to the last drop. 1
But I will continually tell what you have done; 1 I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. 1
He says, “I will cut off all the horns of the wicked, 1 but the horns of the righteous will be raised up.”
