Psalms 112
1Praise Yahweh. 1 Blessed is the man who obeys Yahweh, 1 who greatly delights in his commandments. 1
2His descendants will be powerful on earth; 1 the descendants of the godly man will be blessed. 1
3Wealth and riches are in his house; 1 his righteousness will endure forever. 1
4Light shines in the darkness for the godly person; 1 he is gracious, merciful, and just. 1
5It goes well for the man who deals graciously and lends money, 1 who conducts his affairs with honesty. 1
6For he will never be moved; 1 the righteous person will be remembered forever. 1
7He does not fear bad news; 1 he is confident, trusting in Yahweh. 1
8His heart is tranquil, without fear, 1 until he looks in triumph over his adversaries. 1
9He generously gives to the poor; 1 his righteousness endures forever; 1 he will be exalted with honor. 1
10The wicked person will see this and be angry; 1 he will grind his teeth in rage and he will melt away; 1 the desire of the wicked people will perish.
