Psalms 68
1Let God arise; let his enemies be scattered; 1 let those also who hate him flee before him. 1
2As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; 1 as wax melts before the fire, 1 so let the wicked perish in the presence of God. 1
3But let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God; 1 may they rejoice and be happy. 1
4Sing to God! Sing praises to his name! 1 Praise the one who rides through the plains of the Jordan River valley! 1 Yahweh is his name! Rejoice before him! 1
5A father of the fatherless, a judge of the widows, 1 is God in the holy place where he lives. 1
6God puts the lonely into families; 1 he brings out the prisoners with singing; 1 but the rebellious live in a parched land. 1
7God, when you went out before your people, 1 when you marched through the wilderness, Selah 1
8The earth trembled; 1 the heavens also dropped rain in God's presence, 1 in the presence of God when he came to Sinai, in the presence of God, the God of Israel. 1

18You have ascended on high; you have led away captives; 1 you have received gifts from among men, 1 even from those who fought against you, 1 so that you, Yahweh God, might live there. 1
19Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burdens, 1 the God who is our salvation. Selah 1
20Our God is a God who saves; 1 Yahweh the Lord is the one who is able to rescue us from death. 1
21But God will strike through the heads of his enemies, 1 through the hairy scalps of those who walk in offenses against him. 1
22The Lord said, “I will bring my enemies back from Bashan; 1 I will bring them back from the depths of the sea 1
23so that you may crush your enemies, dipping your foot in blood, 1 and so that the tongues of your dogs may have their share from your enemies.” 1
24They have seen your processions, God, 1 the processions of my God, my King, into the holy place. 1
25The singers went first, the minstrels followed after, 1 and in the middle were the unmarried girls playing tambourines. 1

29Reveal your power to us from your temple at Jerusalem, 1 where kings bring gifts to you. 1
30Shout in battle against the wild beasts in the reeds, 1 against the peoples, that multitude of bulls and calves. 1 Humiliate them and make them bring you gifts; 1 scatter the peoples who love to wage war. 1
31Princes will come out of Egypt; 1 Cush will hurry to reach out with her hands to God. 1
32Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; Selah 1 Sing praises to Yahweh. 1
33To him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which exist from ancient times; 1 see, he lifts up his voice with power. 1
34Ascribe strength to God; 1 his majesty is over Israel, 1 and his strength is in the skies. 1
35God, you are fearsome in your holy place; 1 the God of Israel—he gives strength and power to his people. 1 Blessed be God.
