Psalms 80
Pay attention, Shepherd of Israel, 1 you who lead Joseph like a flock; 1 you who sit above the cherubim, shine on us! 1
In the sight of Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up your power; 1 come and save us. 1
God, restore us; 1 make your face shine on us, and we will be saved. 1
Yahweh God of hosts, 1 how long will you be angry at your people when they pray? 1
You have fed them with the bread of tears 1 and given them tears to drink in great quantities. 1
You make us something for our neighbors to argue over, 1 and our enemies laugh about us among themselves. 1
God of hosts, restore us; 1 make your face shine on us, and we will be saved. 1
You brought a vine out of Egypt; 1 you drove out nations and transplanted it. 1
You cleared the land for it; 1 it took root and filled the land. 1
The mountains were covered with its shade, 1 the cedars of God by its branches. 1
It sent out its branches as far as the sea 1 and its shoots to the Euphrates River. 1
Why have you broken down its walls 1 so that all who pass by along the road pluck its fruit? 1
The boars out of the forest ruin it, 1 and the beasts of the field feed on it. 1
Turn back, God of hosts; 1 look down from heaven and take notice and take care of this vine. 1
This is the root that your right hand planted, 1 the shoot that you made to grow. 1
It has been burned and cut down; 1 they perish because of your rebuke. 1
May your hand be on the man of your right hand, 1 on the son of man whom you made strong for yourself. 1
Then we will not turn away from you; 1 revive us, and we will call on your name. 1
Yahweh God of hosts, restore us; 1 make your face shine on us, and we will be saved.
