Psalms 20
1May Yahweh help you in the day of trouble; 1 may the name of the God of Jacob protect you 1
2and send help from the holy place 1 to support you from Zion. 1
3May he call to mind all your offerings 1 and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah 1
4May he grant you your heart's desire 1 and fulfill all your plans. 1
5Then we will rejoice in your victory, 1 and, in the name of our God, we will raise banners. 1 May Yahweh grant all your petitions. 1
6Now I know that Yahweh will rescue his anointed one; 1 he will answer him from his holy heaven 1 with the strength of his right hand that can rescue him. 1
7Some trust in chariots and others in horses, 1 but we call on Yahweh our God. 1
8They will be brought down and fall, 1 but we will rise and stand upright! 1
9Yahweh, rescue the king; 1 help us when we call.
