Psalms 46

God is our refuge and strength, 1 a very present help in trouble. 1

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, 1 though the mountains should be shaken into the heart of the seas, 1

though its waters roar and rage, and 1 though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah 1

There is a river whose streams make the city of God happy, 1 the holy place where the Most High dwells. 1

God is in the middle of her; she will not be moved; 1 God will help her, and he will do so at the dawn of morning. 1

The nations raged and the kingdoms were shaken; 1 he lifted up his voice, and the earth melted. 1

Yahweh of hosts is with us; 1 the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah 1

Come, behold the deeds of Yahweh, 1 the destruction he has caused on earth. 1

He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; 1 he breaks the bow and cuts the spear into pieces; 1 he burns up the shields. 1

Be quiet and know that I am God; 1 I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted on the earth. 1

Yahweh of hosts is with us; 1 the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah
