Psalms 122

1I was glad when they said to me, 1 “Let us go to the house of Yahweh.” 1

2Jerusalem, our feet are standing 1 within your gates! 1

3Jerusalem, built 1 as a city carefully planned! 1

4The tribes go up to Jerusalem—the tribes of Yahweh— 1 as a testimony for Israel, 1 to give thanks to the name of Yahweh. 1

5There thrones of judgment were set, 1 thrones of the house of David. 1

6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! 1 “May those who love you have peace. 1

7May there be peace within the walls that defend you, 1 and may they have peace within your fortresses.” 1

8For the sake of my brothers and my friends 1 I will say, “May there be peace within you.” 1

9For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God, 1 I will seek good for you.
