Psalms 149
1Praise Yahweh. 1 Sing to Yahweh a new song; 1 sing his praise in the assembly of the faithful ones. 1
2Let Israel rejoice in the one who made them; 1 let the people of Zion rejoice in their king. 1
3Let them praise his name with dancing; 1 let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp. 1
4For Yahweh takes pleasure in his people; 1 he glorifies the humble with salvation. 1
5Let the godly rejoice in victory; 1 let them sing for joy on their beds. 1
6May the praises of God be in their mouths 1 and a two-edged sword in their hand 1
7to execute vengeance on the nations 1 and acts of punishment on the peoples. 1
8They will bind their kings with chains 1 and their nobles with iron shackles. 1
9They will execute the judgment that is written. 1 This will be an honor for all his faithful ones. 1 Praise Yahweh.
