Psalms 3

1Yahweh, how many are my enemies! 1 Many have risen against me. 1

2Many say about me, 1 “There is no help for him from God.” Selah 1

3But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, 1 my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. 1

4I lift up my voice to Yahweh, 1 and he answers me from his holy hill. Selah 1

5I lay down and slept; 1 I awoke, for Yahweh protected me. 1

6I will not be afraid of the multitudes of people 1 who have set themselves against me on every side. 1

7Rise up, Yahweh! Save me, my God! 1 For you will hit all my enemies on the jaw; 1 you will break the teeth of the wicked. 1

8Salvation comes from Yahweh. 1 May your blessings be on your people. Selah
